About the Event
Experimental art exhibition scheduled to open between Hope, Yale, and Boston Bar from August 8th to August 16th. Artist submissions are welcome from folks currently living in Hope & District or artists who grew up/spent time in the canyon. Submission deadline is July 1st. We are open to all forms of art and especially those of an experimental nature. Please email artmachine@hopedistrictartscouncil for more information.
The exhibition theme revolves around the question "What is art for?". We are interested in both asking and awkwardly answering questions of art in flux. What is art supposed to be up here? What's it all for? In this case, at the very least, art is a form of roadside marker that keeps the viewer moving up and down the canyon.
